Dark ruby with little beige head. Aroma is phenols, clove, toffee, slight wood. Taste is sweet toffee malt and slight sour green apple, earth. Good drinkable. Not too heavy. Decent.

50cl swing top bottle. Pours hazy orange golden colour with a mid-sized to small off-white head. Aroma of banana, phenolic esters, some clove. Taste of phenolic fruits, some clove, yeast, nothing special!

Pours reddish brown from the bottle. The head fizzes and fades. The smell is cooked vegetables with a foul twist - reminded me of changing a drainpipe. Subdued, thankfully. The taste is lightly sour accompanied with a roasted bitterness. The dry, lightly bitter finish fades out fairly quick. Watery notes in the palate. This does not feel like a good black beer. Went to the cellar for better pickings.

Euro1-Flasche(kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!): Golden, clear, quickly collapsing loose white head; sweetish malty-grainy nose with extremely well hidden "strawy" hops in the background; mild to moderate sweetish flavour with a quite low bitterness; medium bodied and quite soft ; shorter pale-malty finish. Nothing wrong with it, well drinkable, just a bit monotonous...
