Pours a slightly hazy reddish brown colour and a small off white head with little retention. Aroma's: caramel, port-like, raisins, vinous. Retronasal: sweet, boozy, raisins, woody. Flavour is caramellish sweet with a vinous sourish touch. Full bodied. Soft and fairly low carbonation. Long finish with no new flavours. Very nice!

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 13 Aug 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee, black bread and toasted oats. Malty, roasted taste with notes of milky coffee, chocolate, dark bread, toasted oats and a balanced roasty bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth, tasty and very well balanced stout. Very nice.

Beer In A Box Advent Calendar 2023 19/24. Thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van rood fruit en hout. De smaak is vol, fruitig, fris zuur en kruidig in de afdronk.

Thuis uit een flesje, gekregen van Caroline. Diepe oranje kleur, weinig wit schuim. Aroma wat caramel. Frisse smaak, kruidig, wat bitterheid in de nasmaak. Goede tripel, wel oppassen met het percentage, je haalt de 9% er niet uit. Blijven nippen, niet klokken!
