Bottle, batch 73. Pours hazy orange, with very little head. Aroma is a not too pleasant buttery malt, hay, and some sweet orange fruitiness. Quite nice creamy body, with little carbonation. Flavour is caramel malts and some orangey notes, which gives a bad, sweet wheaty finish.

Bottle from Meny Grønland. Pours slightly hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruits, caramel and with hints of hops. Not so much carbonation in this one (batch 76). I think it was more hoppy last time I tried it, this time it more malty and some dried fruits, hops are hardly noticable. I’m not sure if this bottle was okay, the beer seems quite strange now. Sweet and a bit watery with just a hint of bitterness. Still drinkable, but I will try this again when I find another batch. The first time I tried it I really liked it and thought it was a quite nice 4,7% beer. This time I’m not so sure, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and re-try it later.

500ml bottle picked up at Meny Grønland in Oslo. Hazy orange coloured body, tiny, white head. Fragile lacing. Cool label design. Dry smell of earthy malts and fruity shells. Fresh citrus taste profile, including lemon and orange, added by mid-sweet apple juice. Sappy fruit bitterness to the ending. A well made, morish brew (shared with Stefan and Elisabeth, Tårnrommet, Tromsø, 03.01.2012).

Flaske 0,5l - (jule)gave fra MrSoul. Gyldenbrun.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival. Almost clear, dark golden/amber body with a thin off-white head. Mild fruity aroma, peaches and light malt. Flavor is a bit sweet malt, fruity and moderate bitterness. Medium body. OK and quite balanced, but not very exiting.

Re-rated from bottle. Quite average brown ale, nothing wrong this time. Pretty straight forward but no off flavors. Had this one with my dinner and it’s working well as a complementary dinner beer that’s not taking any focus away from the food but just enough flavor to match simple food. Otherwise nothing exiting going on here.
Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival. Almost clear, amber body with a small beige head. Weak aroma of caramel with a hint of something unpleasant I can’t really put my finger on. Flavor is light malty, some caramel, light fruity, not much bitter. Medium body. Frankly quite boring and something seems to be not quite right here as well.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival. Slightly hazy golden body with a small but dense white head. Mild fruity aroma. Flavor is light fruity with some yeast and not much bitterness. Medium body. Quaffable but otherwise pretty one-dimensional.
