2016 bottle, pours a filthy deep dark brown, basically no head. Aroma is complex, with huge dark sugars, moderate roast, and toffee, and of course booze but surprisingly well-calibrated. Flavour is remarkably well-integrated and tempered, with huge dark sugars, restrained booze, light roast, and some toffee. Rich, nicely sugary, not too boozy. Lovely treat.

On tap at Rapp, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Aroma is rather vegetal, with lots of habanero, subdued strawberry, and lacto. Flavour is full of vegetal notes from the habanero, a touch of strawberry, and too much syrupy character. What a mess.

On tap at Rapp, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of sweet pineapple, coconut, and light lacto. Flavour is full of sweet coconut, pineapple, and a touch of lacto. Just another flavoured kettle sour, nothing gose-like.

On tap at Rapp, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of citric and passionfruit notes, and lacto in back. Flavour is sweet, with lots of sweet passionfruit, lacto, and citrus. Too sugary, not Berliner-like. Not great.

On tap at Rapp, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of cotton candy, sweet raspberry, and a touch of lacto. Flavour is sweet, with lots of cotton candy drowning this out. Too sweet. Not my thing.
