On tap at Rapp, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with lacto, tart citrus and plenty of salt. Flavour is loaded with lacto, moderately tart citrus and a touch of salt. More intense gose flavours than usual, with a lacto and salty finish. Solid.

On tap at Rapp, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly tart citrus, lacto and a touch of salt. Flavour is along the same lines, with acidic citrus, light salt and a touch of lacto. Acidic and lacto-y. It's okay.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth supple pork like smokiness, a hit of fruity esters and little else. The taste is similar with mild slightly bacon like soft smoke to go along with a bit of esters and mild vague hop bitterness. Nice.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear gold body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of pear esters, spicy hops, floral hops and a bit of a mineral sensation. The taste delivers sweet pear like esters, spicy hops and slightly earthy hops. It gets into a modest floral hoppiness midway and into the finish. Overall this is sweeter and a little heavier than the better offerings in this style.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a near clear deep gold body that supports a nice white head of foam. The aroma offers up a grapefruit nuanced berry note, sweet malts and then a floral hop note. The taste delivers a pleasing load of grapefruit hop bitterness, bitter floral hops, some malts and then a spicy rye like sensation. Pretty solid easy drinking IPA.

75 cl bottle thanks to monmisreal! Sampled on July 9, 2017.Brewed 11/2014. Bourbon barrel aged.Cloudy brown color, small tan head. Sweet, raisin, bourbon, alcohol scent. Sweet, alcohol, raisin taste. Honey, alcohol, raisin aftertaste. Lots of gut warming alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.7/2/7/4/15=3.5

Bottle shared at J Wakefield OG party. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong booze, caramel, figs, wood. Medium body, caramel, wood, strong booze finish, lots of burn, very good.

Keg at the brewery. Dark gold and clear. A fair bit of quickly dissipating head. Light malt aroma, a bit of stone fruit, a bit of soap. Sweet with some underlying bitterness which increases to the finish. Golden syrup in the aftertaste. Bittering rather than aromatic hop. Very ’White Shield-y’ in its approach.
