0,5 l swing top bottle. Darkest red to black in the glass, lively CO2 carbonation, nice light beige head. Malt and a sharp sourness on the nose. Taste starts like vermouth, later with a little low tartness. Low coffie to the end but all way too sweet. Bad one. [Test 15.01.2013].

A Pils for 36¢ - and with this name... The beer starts malty-fresh. Not much grain, not too sweet. The quite bitter and not very deep hop aroma comes fast. not too intense, but quiet nice. Not much else to mention. Smooth, easy to drink with a nice (but a bit neutral) bitter-worthy finish. Not too bad!

* Old rating, 0,33l, as Iserlohner Blond, best before 06.04.06. Mild-süffiges Bier. Rect süßlich, keine nennenswerte Herbe, etwas wässrig. Süßlich-hell auf der Zunge.

* Old rating, 0,33l, best before 14.02.10.

German Pilsener, or rather a standard lager, with quite thick, nicely lacing, stable, off-white head and golden blonde colour, cristal clear, very lame sparkling. Sweet honeyish malts in the nose, lots of iron, some chamomille and grass from hops. Neutral taste, low carbonation (certainly for this style), simple malt sweetishness, light iron effect, mild herbal and slightly sticky hoppiness in the finish, not really bitter. Quite bland, actually, hence my proposal to categorize this as a pale lager rather than a genuine German Pilsener.

The beer starts smooth, not too sweet. Fresh-sweetish. Easy to drink. Hints of grain, but not too bad. Only hints of bitterness, slightly sweetish. The aftertaste is grainy bitter with a moderate sweetness.
Nice beer for 60¢...

Malty in the beginning, fresh and easy to drink. Hints of bitterness and malt. Deeper than I thought. The aftertaste is smooth, not sweet, slightly bitter. Hints of water.
Much nicer than I thought!
