Come as you are, kick back, and sip slow — just like a lazy bear would.

355mL can. Pours black with a beige head. Pretty gentle roast, some bready malts, and light coffee on the nose. Flavour has very light roast, chewy bread, light grassiness, some coffee. It's okay, not the best oatmeal stout.

500mL bottle. Pours nearly black with a small beige head. Soft, bready malts, some chocolate on the nose. Flavour has heavy bready malts, lots of crusts and dry dark sugars. Pretty boozy. Nice, heavy-handed imperial stout.

On tap at the Sydney Street pub in Digby. Very average. Not sure what style it's trying to be - just seemed lazy to me with little life in it.

650mL bottle from Bishop's Cellar. Pours clear deep gold with white head. Aroma has notes of resin and sweet malts. Flavour is quite resinous with notes of pine and burnt caramel; some herbal tones. Solid carbonation. Nice west coast double.

Pour from a 750mL bottle. Pours clear amber with white head. Aroma is yeasty and herbal with notes of juniper and sweet malts. Flavour is similarly herbal with some winter spice and soft malts; a touch of orange peel. Really nice.

A hazed dark golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of grapeskins, light lemon and Epsom salts, light Brett. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with cork, grapeskins, Epsom salts, nice but a bit unbalanced.
