50cl bottle pours with a deep dark empty void of a body that supports a thin mocha head. The aroma offers up sweetened dark roasted malts, oak and then spicy oak heading into modest boozy bourbon barrel notes. The taste delivers smooth soft chocolate nuanced highly roasted malts, chocolate brownie and then boozy spicy oak notes. Into the finish the spicy oak grows step by step with the booze and chocolate brownie goodness. Yes! This is on the thin side but the tasty rich depth balances that out. Solid.

500 ml bottle. The beer is black with a small tan head, fades pretty quickly. Pretty big brown sugar/molasses note, medium chocolate, moderate roast, good hit of vanilla. Moderate to mild booziness. Light cola and oak. Taste has a bit more roast and barrel flavor. Moderate to medium acidity with a light dark fruit note. Some coffee. Some chocolate, though less than in the aroma. Finish is roast and barrel. Some body to it but it could use more. Moderate to medium bitterness, picks up a bunch at the end. Solid barrel-aged stout.
