500 ml bottle from Craft Beer Kings. Pours goldish copper with a white head. Aroma suggests sourdough and mildly sour fruits. Med body. Flavor is mildly sour, bready, odd/unfamiliar fruit, and a bit of wood. Doubt this is BA, but I’m thinking a bit of astringency like wood. It’s a very smooth and mild sour/wild. Drinks pretty good. For some reason I keep trying to say there’s chocolate here. Doubt it. Do think there’s something like an unripe strawberry. I’m enjoying it.

Bottled. Slightly hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and a quite nice big sweet maltiness to it as well. Flavour is fruity, floral, nectary, some resin, wood and mild herbal notes. Nice malty and hoppy finish.

Bottle @ MTG II tasting at Rich’s Welfare Pad. Pours reddish brown, tan head. Lovely aroma with a soft sweetness and some dandelion. Sadly the palate doesn’t follow through, and although a lovely smooth beer with light fudge and sweet malts, it simply doesn’t have the richness, body or depth of a truly great Eisbock.
