Description
Beers are a beautiful thing and we’re very proud of ours here at Empire Brewing. An established micro-brewery situated amongst the rolling Yorkshire hills of Slaithwaite, we’ve been producing fine artisan ales for over a decade.

From a humble garage-based micro-brewery to the slick operation you see today at our boiler house by the canal, our beers – and the way we do things – have come a long way. But our values remain exactly the same: to produce creative and dynamic artisan brewing you’ll love.

Greenhead Beer Festival 2024. Hazy paler golden appearance. Easy enough helped by an easy texture with good light tropical fruit notes that linger.

Skipton Beer Festival 2024. Clear golden in colour. Soapy-hoppy, but more of the latter, with a light sweetness available. Pretty regular though.

Cask at Black Lion, Nantwich. Pours golden yellow with a small almost white head and good lacing. There’s corn and malts in the aroma. It the mouth it starts off sweet with a little zestiness. Flavour has citrus, mango and tangerine. Later on it becomes slightly bitter with hints of ginger leading to a fairly dry finish. This is reasonable – but somewhat bland.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Pretty much a clear paleish gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light pale malts, sweetish. Floral hops, not bitter. Whisper of citrus. Light and semi dry finish. Inoffensive but ultimately dull.
