Brewery draught, 8/23/25.
Clear, medium amber-maple. Medium-sized, beige head.
Rich maple, light roast and long toffee with ample bread and honey from base malt. Earth and tobacco.
Tobacco, dry plum, ample, soft malt but equally flavorful dark malts that are tastefully done. Quite dry, gently fruity, earthy. One of the most complex brown ales I've had in a while. The dryness really helps highlight some of the more interesting flavors.

Brewery lukr draught, 8/23/25.
Clear blonde with light brass. Big, fluffy, white head.
Heirloom yeast! Milky-musty-plastery. Bright, delicate, honey-like malt. Clean and heavy mineral on the end.
Very light and drinkable with a hint of celery salt in the finish. Hmmm, this does not follow the aroma very closely and I'm not getting enough malt or body even for its tiny stature. Still, it's not quite thin, just a very, very watery, loose carbonation. Flavors come around and gains a bit more malt sweetness/softness as it breathes/warms. Probably a standout at most breweries but here at DLP, the bar is ridiculously high.

Brewery draught, 8/23/25.
Clear, rich amber-cherry. Medium-sized, beige head, moderate retention.
Very malty with most of it base malt. Gentle red fruit and toffee with a hint of toast.
Wow. Crisp yet malty somehow both at the same time. Gently fruity, moderate herbal hop and minimal toast, leaving most of the character from base malt. Even a touch of earthy, lightly mineralesque yeast. Stunningly flavorful and drinkable.

Lukr schnitt at the brewery, 5/18/25.
Clear, dark. Firm, beige head.
Rich, cocoa-laced base malts showing light honey, graham cracker and mild toast. Low roast. Clean with mineral and low hopping.
Chocolatey, a bit watery through the middle with a touch more toast/roast than base malt. Toasty finish with cacao notes and earth. Good attenuation and clean but I want a bit more malt depth.

Brewery draught, 5/18/25.
Clear bronze-copper. Medium-sized, white head.
Rich but mellow malt with plentiful honey-like notes and a good bit of fresh herb from hop. Some melanoidin. Clean.
Soft, malty, rich, but drying out nicely. Vanilla, honey, rich herbs and spice. Very mellow and exquisitely clean. Light acidity from the malt gives a zesty, subtle balance.

Brewery draught sample, 5/18/25.
Clear, copper-maize. Small, white head.
Lightly floral with biscuit and less smoke than the base.
Nose does not prepare for the heat. It's very hot up front and through the finish, lingering with heat that overpowers the smoke even. Texture seems looser than the base. Typical pepper beer, novel, fun, but dominated by capsaicin.

Brewery draught, 5/18/25.
Clear copper-maize. Big, foamy, white head, good retention.
Smokey and rich but not intensely peaty or bacony. Good pepper and earth with white bread and dough from the base malt balancing well. Clean.
Smokey and earthy with lightly sweet corn, lots of peppery smoke and a rich, malty texture drying out pretty well on the end. Lingering sweet corn, baked white bread and earthy smoke.

Taster pour on draft at Rising Pint. Lightly hazy, bright yellow, trace sparkle, nice head w/excellent retention, nice lacing. Aroma is dominant pine over a mild citrus. Taste is malt and pine dominant. Smooth frothy texture, average carbonation, finish as taste.

Brewery draught, 4/25/25.
Clear medium-dark amber. Beige head, small, creamy.
Rich and malty. Toasted bread, caramel, vanilla but with a good higher fermentation temperature fruitiness. Maybe akin to Anchor Steam in its heyday.
Rich and malty. Fruity, big caramel and honey with lightly toasted bread. Bit of floral/herbal hop. Good dryness on the finish.

Brewery draught, 4/25/25.
Low haze, muted brass. Little/no head.
Fruity apple, pear, mild lactose and nutty wheat. Clean with a bit of bread dough. Low acid but amply tart.
Soft and chewy, very low acid for a Berliner, but nice and wheaty with a bit of white grape, vanilla and lingering earthiness.
