Brewery draught, 4/25/25.
Clear warm honey-brass. Small, white head.
Very smokey! Good malt backing with big honey notes. Rich as hell for 3.7%...damn.
Big and malty. Smokey phenolics giving a ton of black pepper and light iodine. Rich malts drink like a 5.5%+ dries out nicely on the finish. Well-carbonated. Flavorful, balanced, drinkable, satisfying.

16 oz can shared by tfontana, ty Tom. Flavor of burnt toast, cocoa, soft earth.. Balanced with a soft bitter hop. Quite crisp. With some lingering roasted notes. Proper body for the style.. very easy to drink.

Can from trade with Steve. Virtually opaque dark brown with creamy ring of head and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, toffee, hint of nut and chocolate. Taste is strong, earthy roasted malt, toffee, hint of chocolate. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Excellent strength and decent complexity.

Taster pour from a cask at CT Brew Fest 2024. Hazy iced tea/honey with ring of head. Aroma is European malts with some sweetness. Taste is European malts, slight caramel. Smooth texture, flat carbonation finish as taste. Well-made but not my thing.
