Cask @ The Old Harker's Arms, Chester. Pours clear gold, with a respectable white foam atop. Aroma is light citrus, doughy yeast. Taste is pillowy smooth, doughy, bready, light citrus, gentle bitterness. Expected a little more hop presence, but it's otherwise a decent blonde.

Cask at the Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey. Golden-amber with a thick white head. Floral and dryish with a moderate bitterness in the finish. It's alright; it grew on me the more I drank it.

Cask @ Bridge End Inn, Ruabon. Pours clear golden amber, good white topping. Aroma is pale malt, light bitter hop. Taste presents a servicable Welsh bitter, light bitterness, biscuity pale malt, not a lot more to it really.

Cask half-pint on 2nd June 2018 in The Bridge End Inn, Ruabon, Wales. Golden pour, clean and clear, white crown on top. Light citrus lead to the nose and flavour with a good malty backbone throughout, fruity notes both citrus and otherwise dominate the hoppy taste.

Cask pint @ Corn Mill, Llangollen on an extremely hot May bank holiday afternoon. Pours dark, small tan head. Woody, roasty nose. Taste is smooth with chocolate and tobacco roast, light on the palette, initially quite tasty but becoming a little thin and lacklustre mid-way through. Still, not a bad cask porter.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours bright dark gold with a very small white head. Aroma of fruit and veg, hop, light caramel and grass. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Finishes with increasing sweetness. Not keen.

On cask at the Ship. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - light creamy mocha aroma. Taste - burnt bread and charcoal. Chocolate liqueur. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly elegant finish. Overall - good porter.

On cask at the Red Fox, Thornton Hough. Appearance - pale yellow with a thin head and some haze. Nose - faint citrus. Pale malt. Taste - more obvious oramge this time. Palate - light bodiedwith a creamy texture. The finish is decent. Overall - solid citizen.
