Dark copper pour, with a small white head. Very earthy aroma, woody, grassy, and quite malty, Some caramel, and breads. Finish is a medium bitter, no hops, just bitter earthy malts. This is what an ipa would have been in Ontario 20 years ago.

Bottle from matt7215. Thank you Matt! Slightly hazy yellow pour with a medium fizzy head. Pour retention and lacing. Slightly bitter grassy aroma. Taste is grass, grain and a sour fruitiness, not quite citrus. Medium body. Definitely flavor for a pale lager!

Hazed golden lager with a vanishing white head. Sweet biscuitty aroma with notes of berries. In mouth, rather sweet malt, not bad, but lighter than the King’s, again, a beer for thirst, not much else. Merci, Karl.

Pale golden lager with a dissipating white head. Sweet biscuitty malt aroma with honey character. Crisp sweet malt with light german hops finish. Lighter bodied quaffer. Not a great beer, but honest. Bottle from Karl.

Light chestnut colour. Slight caramel notes in the aroma. Slightly nutty, plasticy flavour. Take away the plastic and this wouldn't be so bad.

Soft, insistent sparkle. Fleeting bread & cider aroma. Light body. Light bready maltiness...almost a helles...certainly not a pilsner.

This beer has a nice tan head with a rich dark colour. The beer has hints of roasted coffee and almost a grape scent to it. Included in the flavour is also roasted coffee and malts. The body is a little watery and the finish is the same. Altogether a average dark ale. Good non the less!

The nose is lemony, like lemon pledge, but not citrusy. Not a whole lot of body, almost watery, I agree with tart malt, this may go bad quickly, no hops, no character nothing! Its funny, I remembered this beer to be quite good back in the early 90s, when i was living in that area...oh well!
