Bottle from beerboxer. Pours light amber gold with a creamy white head. Aroma seems earthy. Med body. Foamy carb. Flavor seems very hoppy, but it’s earthy hop. Mild hop burn. It’s sort of chewy. Malt backbone exists, but it’s not exactly caramel. Lots of bitter on the tongue sides. Personally, I think this ale deserves a higher rating than it has garnered. It’s laid back, but there seems to be lots of ingredients - not a cheaply brewed ale. Finishes dry, bitter and satisfying - hop wise.

Bottle. Pours clear orange, medium off white head, great lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, citrus. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light bitter. Not great, but not terrible. Medium body, metallic finish.

Bottle. Orange malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet citrus malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Not bad.

Amber Color, Big Bubbly Head, Lots Of Lacing. Very Light Pine Scent. Thin and watery with hoppy finish. Refreshing and good thirst quencher. Decent overall.

Hazy Darker Shade of Yellow, Medium Head Some Lacing. Sweet malt and Yeast. Something Funky about it. Tried it on a couple of different occasions, seems consistent. Got to be the style or out of date, since there is nothing marked on the label. As it is , tolerable but not pleasant. Pass it...

Nearly clear, bubbly amber, with a short, off-white head. Orange peel.........a little pine aroma. Taste is moderate bitter orange peel, caramel malt, tea leaves...wood. Very dry,...white pepper notes. Ok, but just a plodding, dull bitter throughout.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine hops with some sweet almost toffee like malt. Flavor is a ok hop with a heavy syurpy malt base. Finish is more of the malt than hops. Not really an IIPA more like a heavy pale ale. I guess this is Capital’s first foray into ales. Needs a little work.

Filtered copper caramel color. Steady soapy, thin white head. Smooth malty tones, rich and sugary. Like a California Common, if you completely neglected all hop additions. Cheap, sugary Capital action, some butter. The malt does have some depth, from amber to chocolate to graham cracker. Either way, a let down. Shabby, I have no interest in revisiting. Pretty offensive undertones, a mockery of the Madison beer world. Drinkable, but clearly cost-cutting mediocrity.
