Lucky to pick this up for $1.99. When I touched the cap it shot off and beer gushed out, losing about half of it. Once that was out of the way, it is a decent beer recognizable as a Belgian, or in my opinion, a dubbel ale. Muddy brown appearance with a thin layer of lacing foam. Sweet malt and some fruit. Certainly not worth what these Italian beers usually retail for, but not bad, and it is very elegant packaging.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Yoav. Hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma of fruit esters, a bit of caramel, a bit of bubblegum and a hint of alcohol. Sweet flavor of fruit esters, bubblegum, a bit of caramel and a faint alcohol note. Medium-bodied.

750ml bottle. Cloudy, red glowing, chestnut colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Vinous, yeasty and slightly fruity aroma, hints of grapes. Taste is minimally tart, vinous, yeasty, fruity hints of grapes. OK.

bottle - Pours chunky pale straw colored with an off-white head. Yes, chunky. The yeast pieces are huge. It has a grainy malt and yeast aroma. The flavor is sweet and grainy with alcohol. There’s not much going on here. It’s medium bodied and drinkable, but is overly sweet.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting, Sept 2013 - Pours very dark brown with minimal head and a fairly mild roasted malt aroma. It tastes of sweet chocolate malt mostly. There’s no noticeable hops presence. It’s bubbly and medium bodied with sweetness carrying through the finish. This is an okay beer, that’s about it.

Opens with a boom, explosive gusher. Small shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grainy, light malts, caramel, hay, weeds, yeast, grain, flowers, honey. Taste is sweet, light malts, weeds, harsh hay, honey, yeast, caramel, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Kind of boring.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Langnes. Fortært i Skibotn 17 Mai 13. Gråbrun. Litt hissig. Lavt skum som forsvinner raskt. Ser ut som grumset eplejuice. Svakt fruktig aroma. Smaken er syrlig frukt. Fersken. Bra - men litt kjedelig. Litt bunnfall. KI=6.

Gusher. Medium white head. Yellow body made hazy by visible little particles. Carbonation. Herbal orangey coriander aroma with mealy oily notes. Dry-sweet, faintly acidic, oily herbal citrus taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish orangey tropical fruit and resin aftertaste with peachy mealy notes. Nice, drinkable, quite good. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly web order.)
