This lager poured a hazy, light yellow colour with a decent, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include corn, dough, biscuit and a little honey and hops. First swig was ok. A little weak full of corn flavours and milder hop. Finish is corn and hop with that same hop bitterness lingering. Drinkable.

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed pale gold with a frothy two finger white head. Nose is bright citrus with some light tropical fruit and honey. Light clementine sweetness with a light+ grapefruit and orange peel bitterness. Mouth is slightly thin with average carbonation and a lightly juicy finish.

473mL can, pours a lightly hazed pale golden with a small white head. Nose has big resinous hops, citrus rinds, candied orange, and sweet bready caramel to back. Flavour is quite malty for a IIPA, with lots of candied orange, citrus rinds, resinous hops, and a chewy caramel malt backbone. Too malty and sweet for my tastes in a way that regular Octopus was not. It’s still reasonably made, but the sugars and malty overshadow the hops here. Okay.

On tap at GLB, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops and light biscuity malt to back. Flavour reveals a complex piney hop character, a touch of citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Forcefully hopped and yet balanced very well. Excellent.

On tap at GLB, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma has some allium, fresh doughy notes, and citrusy, piney hops. Flavour is very bitter, with plenty of bitter piney hops, allium, citrus, and doughy malt. Quite bitter finish. Solid enough for a Citra IPA.

On tap at GLB, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has gentle bready malt, a touch of hops, and some musty notes. Flavour is fairly dry and malty, with bready malt, some mustiness, and earthiness. Needs some more hops, as it comes across pretty muffled. Meh.

On tap at GLB, pours a clear blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma has lacto, gentle sugars, and a touch of citrus. Flavour is very dry, with light lacto, seltzery notes, and straw. Very dry, seltzery palate. Good but not particularly authentic.

On tap at GLB, pours a clear dark amber brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, toasted malt, and a hint of caramel. Flavour has bitter resinous hops, bready notes, and pine. Nicely bitter, with a good malt backbone. Really good.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden, with a finger of solid fluffy white head. Taste is plain straw malt that works to support solid citrus and grapefruit, both zest and some pithy bitterness, some vauge resin. Finish is mild sweetness balanced by a lingering citrus bitterness. Great balance. Good beer. Can from the brewery.

Hay malt with fairly strong ginger that comes up quickly, mild lemon undertones. Pretty tasty, though the ginger is a little on the heavy side.
