Thanks Guillaume for this bottle that you gave me for the last Chtistmas. Opening it yesterday, for the birthday of my son. The first attack was rough and sour and arriving at the final, you had a better product, more malty, more spicy, note of cynamon, 08.12.23

Bottle from Carrefour, Lille. Drunk with our Eurovision buffet (delayed by a week due to people being too busy on the actual evening) Hazy gold with a large and lasting white head. Banana-ey yeast up front then white bread and coriander seed. Wheat chaff, lemon and a touch of orange peel. An ok French take on a Belgian blond; quite drinkable but nothing that makes it stand out. Unlike the French Eurovision entry, which I thought was outstanding this year!

A classical Belgian ale, on the way of a leffe, dryer than the blonde leffe with notes of malt, grainy, some sweetness with discreet notes of apricot, fruits, dry hop and dry malt finish, basic bit it is ok, 21.03.21, at Epalinges.

Backlog January 2009. Dark golden body under a huge, creamy off-white head. Weak aroma of malt and some generic, slightly acidic fruit. Taste is soft, smooth, mild malt, hint of fruit and some acidity. Thin body with short aftertaste. Drinkable.

Backlog January 2009. Heavy gusher. Golden body with floaters and big bubbles under a white head. Aroma has cellar notes, grain, esters and some acidity. Taste is mild malty, fruity and slightly funky. Thin body with same aftertaste. Probably infected but still drinkable.

A small bottle from Mia C’Bon near NCCU. Aroma: very fresh, floral and yeasty. Appearance: semi-opaque copper with some floating stuff at the bottom of the glass, head is enormous and rocky, light tan in colour with a creamy cap. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, softish carbonation; finishes lightly astringent. Taste: medium-bitter, a little astringency, some indeterminate fruit flavour, alcohol is subtle. A rather unusual IPA, drinkable but I would expect a cleaner bite at the finish.
