Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

Can 500ml (Santa Maria, Cabo Verde)
Golden colour, small steady white head. Sweetish pear, strawberry aroma. Light-bodied. Booze, sweetness, berries. Horrible malt liquer.

Can at home shared with Laura. Clear pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops, softly citrusy, citrusy bitter. Nothing too spectacular but it's okay.

330ml can from Home Bargains, clearly states it's brewed and canned in Germany (not at United Dutch Breweries). Drank at home on 9th March 2023, can BB 10th May 2023. Cloudy pale lemon body, fast fading white head. Sweet lemonade with a bit of Lager, too sweet really.

330ml can from Home Bargains costing 37p. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, white, head and touch of carbonation. Sweet and flabby malt aroma. Flavours of sweet corn and hay, with a moderately bitter, industrial, finish. The price reflects quality of the ingredients.

330ml can from Home Bargains. Yellow in colour, with a thin, white, head and moderate carbonation. Lemon squash aroma, leading to more lemon flavour with some sharpness and a touch of light malts. Finish had a touch of bitterness amongst yet more lemon. A gluggable alcopop.

330ml can from Home Bargains - clear yellow body with no head. Nose is cheap ricey and sweet. Taste is tinny and a bit sugary. Not one to last in the memories.

5/2/2023. Can bought at Home Bargains, Martlesham Heath. Pours hazy dark yellow with a small frothy white head. Aroma of lemon, citrus, malt and a whiff of ashtray. Quite sweet with slight bitter lemon and a tart edge. Light body, oily and watery, average carbonation. More bitterness to finish. Not too good.

6,5% ABV.
