Bottle. Dark brown with shades of red and a righteous white foamy head. Aroma of (roasted) malts, nuts and caramel. Taste follows aroma plus hints of chocolate, bread and earthy hops. Low bitterness, medium carbonation. Very balanced. A really nice Dunkel. Instant spot on my list of go-to-Dunkels.

330ml bottle from trade with Erzengel. Thanks chap! Pours a clear gold, thin white head. Aroma has pale malt, light hop. Taste is a little thin, watery perhaps, some thin pale malt, light fruity nods. Not a lot going on here.

330ml bottle. Clear, red colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, pink head. Sweet-ish, artificial cherry aroma. Taste is sweet, artificially fruity, notes of cherry, Haribo Happy Cherries, tart-ish, fruit acidic couterweight, hints of sherbet.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours brown. Aroma is burnt, bock bier, phenols, booze. Body is heavy, flowers, candy, phenols, strongly bocky though. Not at all as described. Meh.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts fine malty, strong, light alcoholic hints, not too intense. Fine roasty notes, some chocolate. Well balanced finish. Not bad!

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, deep golden, small head. Malty, light fruity aroma. Starts mild, malty, more and more hoppy-fruity. Shy soapy hints, not too intense. Fruity like lemon, some apricot. Finish mild sourish, well balanced. Not bad.

Bottle from Brausesyndikat, Bielefeld. Smooth mild beginning. Caramel, quite dry with cookies and dry roast. Burned sugars, round and smooth with a nice malty burned aftertaste. Not too much bitterness, only from the burned grain, dry with a dense and rich body. Long fresh fruity aftertaste. Nice sessionable winter-beer.
