Bottle from the brewery via mail-order.

Frisch karamellmalziger Nachhall. Nett. 10/11/11/11/7/11

330ml bottle. Clear, dark copper colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white head. Rather weak, fruity hoppy aroma, hints of mandarine and orange. Taste is dry hoppy, minimally nuttily malty, fruity hints of orange and mandarine, a touch of peanut and hazelnut. Quite anaemic.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy and slightly strawy, malty aroma, plain bitter hoppy overtones, a late honey touch. Taste is moderately sweet, minimally sugary, hints of mead, honey, a mild floral touch; smooth and soft palate. An upgrade for their Export that is still too dominant in the aroma - nice taste.

0.33 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before January 2017. Clear, golden amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, fruity-spicy aroma of caramel, cinnamon, honey, clove and pumpkin. Sweetish, fruity-spicy taste of caramel, honey, cinnamon, pumpkin and lots of clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, very spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, almost flat. Drinkable, but unbalanced, just too much clove.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really interesting. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Starts intense malty, dry, spicy notes. Bitter background. Hints of some spices. Finish well balanced, but heavy. Interesting beer.
