Bottle as part of a multi pack from the Brackenrigg Inn, Ullswater. Clear amber to mid-brown in colour with a small head. It certainly has more of a dark malt influence, with a mild sweetness about this aspect too, rather than any actual bitterness.

Clear amber beer, thick, frothy off-white head. Smells of toasty malt and a little honey. Flavour has honey too, toasty malt again, a little apple (maybe?) and dried fruit. Decent heft to it for the strength, could quite happily sink a few of these on a lazy afternoon.

Bottle from the Brackenrigg Inn, Watermillock. Copper-amber with a head. Hoppy, full-bodied, has a malt base - combined it's all very flavoursome. This was available on cask when I was at the pub but I opted for something less strong as I was driving.

Bottle split at L6 Tasting, thanks to New Ken, 22/08/19. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is grass, grains, mellow citric peel, light bread. Taste comprises mellow citric zest, bread dough, melon, sweet bite, floral tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable golde for a new brewery tick … a bit on the sweet side though.
