Bottle. Red amber, low brown head. Balanced sweet aroma - molassis and bittering hops. Breakfast cereal entry - sweet honey and chocolate. Crunchy on the palate, light sparkly . Good balance, no stickyness. Milk chocolate retronasal. Not as medicinal as Doppelbocks can be - nice.

(screw cap bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark amber colour with ruby shine and a medium-sized and tanned frothy head. Sweet and moderately toasty malty aroma with bready notes, caramel and also traces of alcohol and glue. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malt-character, minimal molassy/sugary taste with notes of caramel, maple and shy herbal spice; sweet and slightly hop- and toast-bitter finish. Lacks a bit aroma, ortherwise still a decent example of the style. 07.VI.10

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, light-amber colour with a huge and off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet cara-malty aroma with draffy and yeasty notes, accompanied by traces of hay-like, herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, slim bodied with a crisp carbonation. Discreet cara-malty and yeasty taste with a shy nutty and hoppy touch; moderately dry and slightly bitter-sweet finish. A bit boring and slim, but still a drinkable Keller-/Zwickelbier. 06.VI.10

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly doughy and cara-malty aroma with notes of draff and a nutty touch and herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mellow cara-malty base, minimal nutty taste with shy herbal notes; a bit slim, slightly sweet and shy bitter hoppy finish. Clean and pleasant to drink but I have to admit that I have expected more. 05.VI.10

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, brown colour with a ruby shine and a big and rocky off-white foamy head. Yeasty, slightly sour and toasty aroma with wheaty notes, cacao and leaves. Slightly sweet and sour flavour, medium to light bodied with a prickly carbonation. Slightly toasted malty and yeasty taste with a present wheat-character, accompanied by notes of cacao, caramel, berry-fruits and an earthy, leafy touch. Quite dry and minimal sour and toasty finish with a moderate level of fruitiness and delicately spicy notes. Very pleasant. 29.V.10

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and thick foamy head. Sweet (barley-)malty aroma with notes of wheat, draff and rather shy fruity notes. Sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Malt-accented taste, but more like barley and smaller amounts of wheat, restrained fruitiness, light clovy notes; sweet malty finish with a fatally absence of hoppy bitterness. Pretty boring and one-dimensional. 26.V.10

(bottle) Clear, golden coloured effervescent hue with a big foamy white head. Slightly doughy and grainy malty aroma with a delicate touch of herbal and spicy hops. Moderately bitter flavour with a light malty sweetness, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malt-character with early arriving herbal hops, leading into a dry and hop bitter finish. Simple but likeable Pilsener. 05.VI.10

(swing top bottle, came just as Glossner Weizenbock) Cloudy, amber colour with a huge and dense, slightly tanned foamy head. Yeasty, slightly sweet and toasted malty aroma with present wheaty notes, accompanied by a touch of caramel , plums and alcohol. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of acidity, medium to full bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly toast-malty and wheaty taste with fruity notes of citrus and plums, accompanied by caramel and discreetly clovy spices; sweet and slightly vinous-fruity finish with delicately toasty notes and just traces of alcohol. Well-balanced Weizenbock, which eventually lacks a bit carbonation/freshness. 25.V.10
