Very little coffee smell but first taste is all peppery coffee fer sure. Decent c02 all round. Coffee presents builds however, the coffee flavor is not over the top nor in yer face. Nice even coffee brew, could even have this for breakfast. Good to the last drop. Nice job 4 bros.

Labeled as hop dreams at the brewpub. Somewhat cloudy and it looks like a lighter colored iced tea. Smell is mildly like your mates BO after sex, you know, in a good way. Barely any co2 in this. Rather mouth coating but not nearly as much as those ubiquitous IPA that continually try to be an impy IPA. Not nearly the body and flavor of most IPA. Bitterness uilds but it remains fairly gentle-manlike. No terrible chewing on pine tar soaked green grapefruit rinds here.

Tap at the brewpub. Nice looking wit beer appearance. Not much blueberry in the smell. Very good initial impressions on the taste buds. Slightly tart without any of that fru-fru-fruity BS going on. Very light, very friendly. Civilized, almost like a mild wild ale. Now just a shade of well balanced blueberry comes thru during the session. Perhaps a shade of pepper on the finish. Very good overall beer drinkin experience. Nice job 4 bro. Impressed.

Quite mild sweet perfume aroma. A brownish colored beer fer sure. Quite strong initially then the alky impact seems to subside. Yes, at first you know its a quad and then it gently makes you think about something friendly without you even being aware of it. Must be one of the most well behaved quads I’ve had, even comparing it to the civilized quads of the old country. Even has a decent amount of determinable co2! A very well balanced domestic quad IMHO. Well, now that I think about it, and had time for the feeling to sink in, there is a little warming sensation happening on the finish, heheh.

For a domestic Belgian ale, this is pretty good stuff. I honestly think this is better than a westy, JMHO. Initially starts with a creamy head and it looks like darker iced tea. Clean fresh beer aroma. First taste is very slight tart in the feel. Some banana in there as well, just a tad. You would never know this is over 7%! Looks so nice sitting there in my glass. When you pour it, it gets this nice big creamy head. Now, considering this is the same style as Orval, I can’t say its as good as that but, I tell you, for a domestic Belgian, this is really good. its well mannered and civilized, I have no problem with this beer, it lacks all those ill attributes co common with most domestic Belgian ale wannah bees.

Tap. Dark. Neutral in smell. Lots of bourbon is my first impressions. Big strong whisky feel. Not sure why we like to put a whisky flavor in beer but if you like this idea of beer, go for it.

Tap. Nice easy friendly beer that is totally on style. Even tho I like mine without the coriander and orange, it is very acceptable for the spices never get in the way of the beer. Yes, so easy to take its frightening and alarming to the senses. It’s goen’ down way too easy. Lovley and tasty, yummy stuff. It’s gone already, good and freakishly fresh. Nice job brewers.

Nice clean fresh attractive beer smell. A little bitter, almost astringent on the first bite. Decent co2. Yes, as the session continues, that slight astringency comes thru the more. Has a typical 4 bros backbone. Finish with some sharp personality. Probably not as reserved as most old country English ales, JMHO.

Quite dark. Has almost a pepsin aroma about it. Taste is generally mild. Slight roasty feel in there. Mild co2 sizzle. Easy to take, rather friendly in its own roasty beer way. Good job on this one.

Very mild attractive impy stout aroma. Yes, initially quite strong but it does hide this 9+% well. It’s quite reserved, one of the more civilized impy stouts I’ve had in long long time. Smooth and rather creamy, almost like a friendly oatmeal or dry stout with a kick in the ass. Can really tolerate this and I don’t care for contemporary impy stout. Some mild co2 in this makes it quite palatable for a lager lover. IMHO this is much better than most impy stouts, I’ll have to look at my stats and see how it compares. Much better than expected, considering the nasty style.
