Pint can - lightly hazy gold - light ring of foam - nose of honey, pepper, herbs, light minerality - flavor is sweet honey, floral and peppery hops, light grassiness - full and round in the mouth - a bit too sweet and get soapy in the finish, but a solid attempt - the alcohol is fairly apparent.

Pint can - hazy amber - nose of biscuit, spice, dusty yeast, brined cherries, pear - flavor is dry but rich maltiness, with some background sweetness that comes to the fore on the tail end - light bitterness, musty yeast character, light spiciness - some back-end sourness develops late, squashing the malt and lessening the enjoyment.

16 ounce at the brewery - served in a pint glass (boo!) - lightly hazy gold - lively pour - lightly bitter, lightly tart, moderately peppery - flavors of grainy wheat, lemon, light clove, and a lot of banana - if you told me it was supposed to be a strong Hefeweizen, I’d believe you - I do not generally like my Tripels this estery and banana heavy, so this is a bit of a disappointment for me.

Half pour at the brewery - dark amber, nearly black - traditional British approach here, strong mineral, earthy malt, very dry, with. Slight sourness on the tail end - some coffee bitterness through the middle - trailing mineral and earth - not bad.

8 ounce at the brewery - crystal clear gold with a frothy white head - nose of dank and citric hoppiness and a mineral bite - despite it’s strength, it is fairly light and quite dry up front - a moderate sweetness settles in through the middle as the assertive hop bitterness settles it, along with a mineral bite on the tail end - while I have grown to love hazy IPAs, it is really nice when an old school IIPA comes along to give me that potent hop bitterness.

Pint at the brewery - clear amber with a moderate white lace - nose is rich caramelized maltiness - flavor is bready malt, caramelized sugars, raisin, date - there is a slight acidity/tartness that is pretty unwelcome in the style, which is a shame - still a lot of good here, though.

Pint at the brewery - more of a traditional Weissen o-fest - clear gold - creamy head - bready, with light honey in the background - light mineral - background floral hoppiness followed by a light lemon tartness - some malt richness and lingering floral hops on the tongue - it’s pretty good:
