440ml can from the Beer52 shop; BB 8th Oct 2021. Drank at home on 4th Dec 2020, the first beer in a mini tasting with myself. It's unfiltered and unpasteurised, so it's cloudy, a cloudy orange in fact, decent white head on top. The Simco hops do their thing in the nose and taste; piney, grapefruity and sweeter citrus notes throughout, semi-bitter too, in places. Good start to the session, liked the 8% kick as well.

Crowler at home, from BD TH, last of the 24 collabfest '20 beers - a very impressive set all things considered, 24/11/20. Black with a big old dirty looking tan head that retains well. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, dried berry fruits, light metallic nip, light spice, dusty fruit esters. Taste comprises light charr, chocolate, red berry fruits, jammy berry tones, sweet malts, light blackcurrant liquorice aspects, faint bitter sweet edge, rich berry compote. Full bodied, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid high boost stout ... good balance and a great mouthfeel and weighing in a good few notches less than the stated ABV. Never too sweet ... really drinkable for 11.4%.
