Tap. Yellow gold with a white head. Aroma of gin (juniper, hard spices), funky crackers, some orange peel. So it tastes. Light dough, actual spices well integrated into yeast-driven things. Would have liked a bit more bitterness but the dryish and spicy finish is refreshing enough. Good, cunningly balanced.

Tap. Gold, dense, lacy, lasting white head. Aroma of kumquat, peach, crackers. Blandish sweet malt is shruggo (which is to sub-style) but sufficient platform for the citrus and stone fruit. Firm bitterness.

Pint on tap at brewery. Almost totally black beer with a thin head, nose is vanilla malt. Good lacing. Medium body, light zing. Taste is all vanilla, finish has a touch of coffee and cocoa. Nice pint. Probably too sweet for a session but excellent nonetheless.

Pint on tap at brewery. Totally black beer with a thin film of suds on top. Nose is mostly cocoa, hints of coffee and chocolate. Lots of flavour, zingy mouthfeel. Light body, light fruitiness. Finish is bitter with hints of liquorice. Looks rubbish in the glass. A nice drinking Stout though.

Middie on tap at brewery. Golden amber beer with a thin white head. Slight haze. Very light carbonation. Fruit caramel nose. Patchy lacing. Zingy, bitter with touches of caramel and late bitter lemon. Very nice pale ale. Cleansing, bitterness is spot on.

Foghorn Newy Pale Ale 4.5% APA Fairly clear copper gold with a thick light beige head of foam. Quite a bright citrus minty pine aroma. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation and mouthfeel. The flavor is good but simple with some earthy woodsy pine. Solid and seems fresh but not as surprisingly good as the Extra Hop Sauce.

(Can) Pours cloudy amber with a huge off-white head (took ages to pour the head was so extreme). Pleasant hoppy aroma. Medium body, well carbonated. Pleasant taste with plenty of fresh hop flavours over a backdrop of light caramel malt. Modest bitterness. Very drinkable.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of light Belgian yeast, floral hops and biscuity notes. Not especially complex but fairly clean and well-balanced. Solid.

On tap at Foghorn Brewhouse, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is fairly bland, with English hops and biscuity malt. A touch stronger than the bitter, but not much better.
