Almost done here at Barley & Sword. Dark amber but clear, thin lace. Brown bread, thinned out honey, minerally, salted nose. Fruity, dates, strange orange, potato, very thin & lightweight. Vinous. To style? Didn't hate this.

At Barley & Sword. Feb. '24. Thin, opaque, cowhide brown pour. Smokey, sugary burnt honey nose. Cola & patent malt, or not. Lingering aged hops. Thin & mellow. Okay.

At Sword, talky bartender. Drank it while making eye contact & couldn't put down app. notes. Heavy black tea nose, aged herbal hops nose. Soft citrus upfront. Super nice upfront tea tannins. Popsicle stick dryness, a little Nilla wafer. Astringent lingering finish. Lovely.

At the source before exploring the other two breweries on the block. Cloudy, tea pour, a little lace. Soft tea, biscuit... Mellow dry malt, tea astringency, middle high acidity, a touch of chocolate, very weak hop profile. Off dry. Off-meh.

Slow pour helles at the source. Clear, light to medium honey, scummy lace. Cracker, basic nose. Mellow, light honey, bittersweet herbal back end, slight pepper on the finish. Not too sweet. Better than okay.

Full pour, first stop @Barley. Just about opaque, dark honey pour with a stiff off-white head. Stiff banana & clove, meaty honey nose. Frothy, floral honey bittersweet, clove, lovely mixed malt texture, on the heavier side, more like a Alt. Still good.
