Bottle. Clear yellow color with white head. Aroma is straw, pale malts, herbal hops. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Okay Helles, but boring.

Clear bright yellow with medium white head. Aroma is normal helles stuff, some sugar, barley and basement aromas. Taste is a little sweet, grainy and the average hoppy bitterness. Medium long finish with no new experience, boring.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly grainy, pale malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, cautious spiciness originating from grassy hop and husky malt in equal shares, a very cautious, soapy lemon touch is identifiable as well. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, yeasty doughy, a hoppy lemon dash; minimally bitter and spicy, hoppy finish. Quite simple, but clean, well balanced and refreshing. Definitely on the better half of the style.

On tap at Sheridan’s Irish Pub in Zagreb. Many in Zagreb claim this to be a great lager... Clear pale golden, small white head. Faint grain metallic aroma. Sweet, hay mainly, malts. Soft carbonation, medium body. Hay in the finish. Has some character, but nothing much.

13th Dec 2014: 0.3 litre on tap within an open sided wooden hut bar at the Rathaus Hamburg Christmas Market. Surprised to see this, a Bavarian beer so far north. Anyway it came a clean, clear golden colour with thin white head. Slight malty aroma. The taste also on the malty side, not a lot going at all actually, crisp and refreshing but lacks depth or flavour. Bog standard Helles with delicate notes too difficult to pick up when the beer is served so cold and does not warm up because of the weather and where it was drank.
