Bottle - Sweet honeyed bacon and smoke. Cloudy gold with a frothy white head. Very carbonated smoke and a little sweet bacon. The carbonation and intense flavors with a light finish make it a little different. Refreshing Rauch? Not sure but not bad.

(Thanks Jay "GodOfThunder") Can. A- Nutella, toast, chocolate, nutty, coffee. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Nutella, chocolate, roasty, coffee, semi bitter cocoa, mocha, cola, slightly malty. P- Full body, average texture, soft carbonation, dry bittersweet finish. O- An excellent stout that could stand up again a lot of others similar to it. Very robust, rich, and complex. With the strong toast and chocolate and nut aromas, alongside the tastes, this reminded me of Nutella on toast for breakfast. Just a good beer all around.

Can thanks to GodofThunder: Poured a dark brown with whispery white head. Aroma was roasted malts. Taste was milky, very silky on the palate with chocolate and just enough roasted malts to provide a backbone.

Bottle - hazy gold - not much of a head - nose is a nice showcase for the beechwood smoke - its rich earthiness is not interfered with by abundant hopping or other character - some malt sweetness just serves as a subtle counterpoint to the dry, woody smoke - flavor is not heavy on the smoke, but you wouldn’t want it to be in such a light lager, as it would become to harsh/abrasive - fairly dry, with a light mineral bite that makes the moderate smoke pop a bit more on the palate - finish brings mild honey sweetness to round things out - lovely blonde rauchbier.

Draft at Craft and Growler - lightly hazy gold - flavor is crisp and grassy up front, but fairly sweet pils malt late - strong bitterness arrives after that, but not overpowering - a moderate mineral bite finishes, along with lingering toasty grain and some grassy hops - it’s pretty dang good.

Bottle at RBWG 2014, thanks! Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a syrupy pine note with some resin and a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor has a resinous pine note with a touch of grapefruit and a bread backing.

On tap. Hazed orange hued pour with a small off white head that leaves great lace. Aroma of pine, papaya and citrusy hops, medium malt character. Flavors show a malty forward IPA, medium bitter, citrusy, floral, lightly fruity, low esters. Biscuity, a touch sweet. Medium bodied, ~2.45 vol CO2.
