Description
This daring adventure was born in 1999 in Theix near Vannes, in Morbihan (the small sea). Its creators, bakers Loïc and Goulven Cras, preferred Mor Braz (La grande mer) for their brand.
In 2003, the Morlaisiens Thierry and Michelle Bernard took over. They too have continuity in their ideas. They want to purify and control their precious raw material: seawater.
The brewery was closed in 2025 due to retirement. The label and products under the name Mor Braz were transfered to the Brasserie des Abers.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, murky pale yellow with orange overtones, aromas of vanila with hints of tobaco, barnyard notes and a strong saltiness which also dominates the finish. Interesting but not really good.

slightly aged sample Big white head, fed by lively carbonated, hazy amber-straw beer. Indeed ciderish nose, apples, fruity, even whiff of raspberry; sweet-sourish. Dry, grainy flavour, 100% at odds with the nose. Oxydation notes. Very carbonated MF, spritzy, again slightly fruity notes in the aftertaste, but in a sticky way. The clash between nose & flavour is too brusque not to be bothersome. Flavourwise totally uninteresting. I do not taste the added salt, and last but not least, this is produced somewhere in Belgium. Can believe they keep quiet about it. Thanks CK

Getrunken beim 2. BTO-Treffen. Sehr fruchtiger Antrunk, etwas alkoholisch, leicht süß.

Sehr interessant! Test vom 9.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,10,10,8,11 - 10,25
