an utter failure in the pale ale dept. in fact the only thing it got right was that like any pale ale its not very pale, but i wont give it ratings based on colour alone

not that bad but fairly boring overall. taste only has the lightest sense of bitterness. mech better than their pale ale at least.

(can) clear dark amber with small tan head; aroma of stewed fruit, lightly roasty flavour, not bad but nothing exceptional. It came in a pack of 4 cans of different beers from this brewer - all tasted like the same beer with different amounts of water added... Sort of like Duff, Duff Light, and Duff Dry on the Simpsons....

(can) clear amber colour with tall tan head; aromas of stewed and dried fruit, metallic aroma in the beginning; watery palate; watery flavour - not terrible - just feels weak and watered down. Tried again in 2013 - still the same - unimpressive, boring, could be just another macro

(can) clear amber with small white head; faint aromas of fruit, bit metallic in the beginning; watery palate; watery and weak flavour, generic light beer

Boring carbonated gold with decent head, but it will do the trick; yet I’d say it’s a lager from how it looked. Vague grain aroma. Flavour is a lager nothing-ness with just a hint of hops. This is more a cheap lager than even a bad wheat ale.

Came in the OCB Discovery Pack 9 at the LCBO, for summer 2011. Also noticed how it came in a 4-pack (also can) at the LCBO. I did see the words "light beer" hidden at the bottom of the can, and I kind of wondered how it would do with "wheat ale". Pours a clean light golden-yellow colour with a big white head that had decent retention and lacing all around. Grainy nose with some sweetness, kind of fruity with notes of oranges. All of this, pretty mild of course. Not sure what to make of the taste though. Not really wheaty, but still grainy, and has some type of hoppy bitterness (which I am not sure works). Not horrible, but some things are not working together. Still, better than I expected for a light beer.

Canette 473ml.

Reddish brown color, small tan head, aroma not discernible, medium carbonation, caramel-coffee taste, long finish with bitter coffee taste remaining on your palate. Good one.
