FEB-2019. #2. Really cloudy amber, soapy off white head. Aroma is your regular big ripe citrus pulp and some zesty resins, more malts than usually in the background, a little candied peel. Same with the taste - hoppy, with a tad more sweetness in the malt base - not exacltly caramel, more like candied fruit. Smooth pithy bittermess, big enough to shadow the gentle rye spice - at least, I don't get any. Totally different from batch #1 - just goes hand in hand with the overall evolution of Hooligans' IPAs. Very good. 4,0/5.
MAR-2018. #1. BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Hazy amber, creamy off-white head. The aroma is ripe fruit and fresh grass, hop dankness and that spicy green onion note. Similar taste, moderate to strong fruity sweetness without being too sugary or malty, robust yet soft dank and spicy coating bitterness. Quite nice, not screwed at all. 3,7/5.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Clear ruby, pink head. There's some IPA in it at the beginning - ripe pink grapefruit, clearly - jalapeños with that vegetable pepper aroma, some spicy aroma-beans later on - vanilla, tonka? The taste is a similar weird mix of hops, peppers and beans, some cinnamon? Light chili heat on the palate. Not an instant pleasure, but certainly interesting and experimental.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero, Lot 01 Kitty. Clear bright purple, pink sparkling head. The aroma is full on raspberry, raspberry syrup and some stale berries too, all on top of regular Berliner lactic acidity. The taste clean sharp lactic and lime, a little bit of raspberry without the sweetness, hint of pickles in the finish. Crisp, tangy, no funk, no raw grains. Nice and clean and fruity.

Bottle, 330 ml courtesy of Miro. Shared with Miro, JFK10000, Max. Pours black with medium beige head. Quite smokey, but not too aggressive. Roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, sweet with some bitterness in finish. Soft carbonation. Medium bodied. Nice.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Pale yellow and completely opaque, soapy white head. Strong (but not earth shattering) tropical mango/pineapple juice aroma, with notes of fruit bubble gum on one hand and green hop matter on the other. Less of that green onion than before. The taste is similar - hops, hops and hops. Quite dry, so it lacks those sweet juicy tropical fruit notes, and is more towards the grassy vegetal lemon rind kind of hoppiness. Pretty low bitterness with little proper alpha acids, again, some acrid fresh grass. No hop burn. Overall, a nice drier kind of hazy IPA.

Bottled. Cloudy mahogany colour, mid sized head. Caramelly nose with pear and red berries. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peppery bread, fruity with lots of caramel. Warming finish.

Bottled, dnicolaescu! Black with coarse beige head. Tart plum brandy and licorice up front. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Dates and brown sugar, licorice and caramel. Warming finish with ouzu and slivovic. Rich, harmonious and interesting.

Bottled, thanks dnicolaescu! . Clear purple, small pink head. Red berries and lemon up front. Dry with mild tartness and light body. Mildly citric with raspberry and blackberry. Low bitterness. Well made.
