Description
Tri Martolod (Three sailors in Breton) is a traditional Breton song. It is in homage to this song that the first Artisanal Cooperative Brewery Tri Martolod was born. Tri Martolod was created in 1999 in Bénodet and launched the first traditional Breton Pils. A cooperative company from its inception, Tri Martolod has always favored people and has retained its independence from the giants of the market. Since May 2008, the Tri Martolod brewery has moved to Concarneau to the new business area of Colguen.

Perfect pour on this one, head bubbles up from a chalice and is like a light chocolate mousse or something. Beautiful dark brown near-black colour. Aroma is all roasted barleys, slight fruitiness from the wet barley scent. Flavour is warm barleys, slight fruitiness, some dark grains and a little alcohol. Very nice indeed.

Bottled. A hazy amber-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, though added a note of oxidation.
