Bottle from Carrefour, Ninove - many thanks dear Anke! Pours cloudy black with slowly dissipating, frothy, dark beige head. Aroma of orange zest, roasted coconut, pistachio, toast, fondant, prune. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained nuts & dark fruits; pretty bitter core of orange peel, mixing with roasted nuts, toast & espresso. An umami edge announces the dry, earthy, almost resinous hoppy finish, lingering orange zest, biscuit, subtle (roasted) coconut & toast. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Feels very ‘dark’ & Stout-like but I would be inclined to classify this as a Black IPA.

33cl bottle at La Plante du Loup, Lyon, France. Pours pale gold, transparent, with moderate white foam, medium grained bubbles. Aroma is delicate herbal. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet. Finish is average.

Black with lasting soapy head. Aroma is extremely packed with fresh roasted coffee. Flavour is similar but less intense. Lasting coffee bitterness in the aftertaste.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Intense and condensed, fruity hoppy aroma, notes of tropical and citrus fruit, mango, passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, peach and more, piney and resinous overtones. Taste is sweet-ish caramel malty and crisp bitter hoppy, fruity notes of grapefruit, orange, hints of mango, peach, some pine, a touch of resin; soft carbonation, smooth and soft palate. Feels way more bitter than just 45 IBUs.
