Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours hazy orangey with a small foamy white head. The aroma is perfumed, lemon - lime, peppery spice, definite gin vibes, oaky, vanilla, dried orange, a touch floral and some sweet popcorn. The taste is crisp, tart, lemon - lime, tangy, candied orange, sherbet, floral, peppery spice, oak, sweet popcorn, some harshness, definite gin and booze with a warming finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice elements to it for sure, but there is a bit of popcorn and harshness. A mixed bag, but fun anyhow.

Slightly hazy light amber golden color. No head. Smells like rhubarb pie with a touch of strawberry and oak. Excellent sour mouth with tons of strawberries and rubarb, excellent balance with a touch of sweetness and sour. Medium full body. The acidity lingering in my stomach. Love it, thought the nose doesn’t shine. Really nice.

750 ml bottle from MBC. Orange, hazy body, with loads of floaties and almost no head. Aroma with loads of peach fruit flesh, cinnamon, moderate cheesy funk, slight vanilla. Tastes similar, with slight vinegar. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation. Finishes medium sweet, medium dry, moderate sour, a bit spicy, with lots of peach again, cinnamon, slight citrus. Tasty. Really interesting mix, that works very well. The peach is so fresh here, very fleshy and sweet. The cinnamon and the funk notes lead to a lot of character. Lovely, unique stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a mostly clear copper to rust with a full finger of off-white foam that lingers. Lovely vanilla, cherry and oak aromas that permeate the nose. Tamarind comes out as it warms with a peppery, ginger note. Creamy oak and vanilla and cherry again. Super smooth, full bodied, but not overly heavy or boozy. A great American take on a classic Belgian style. One of my favorites from the share.
