Taster at the brewery. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The aroma is caramel, pine, and intense booze. Oak, allspice, toast, and char. Not actually that sweet, and quite bitter. Very heavy body, with a sharp, grainy, syrupy mouthfeel. This is a big, surprisingly hoppy, and whiskey-forward stout. Nice.
