On tap in a flight at the brewery. Pour black, with a medium, bubbly, beige head. Good smoke, with some light coffee, syrup, and oak. Sweet and malty, with a touch of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, smooth, syrupy, with a clean finish. Solid and fun. Just the right amount of smoke, which is difficult to pull off.

Sampled on nitro at the brewery. Pours dark, ruby brown, with a medium, fine, cascading, beige head. The nose is subdued coffee and bittersweet chocolate, with some cream and pecans. Sweet and mellow roast, with a faint bitterness. Medium body, velvety and smooth nitro texture, with a clean finish. This is a simple, easy, and clean milk stout. Nothing special, but solid.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear, dark orange, with a small, beige, creamy head. The aroma is intense, complex, and unique. Notes of cedar, peat, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, honeysuckle, and pine. Sweet and grainy, with an aggressive and smooth bitterness. The bitter aftertaste is cut nicely by a pleasant, boozy warmth. Heavy body, syrupy and thick. This is a lovely, very interesting, and surprisingly balanced beer.

Sampled at the Feast of Saint Arnold. Light yellow color, with a small, off-white head. The nose is straw, bananas, wheat, and butterscotch. Sweet, with some good yeasty esters and nice, easy hop bitterness. Light body, creamy, sharp, and clean. This is a solid, easy, and refreshing beer. At the same time drinkable and complex.

Sampled at the Feast of Saint Arnold. Poured clear, pale orange, with a small, white ring. The nose is apple juice, coconut, resin and orange juice. Sweet and boozy, with a light, acrid, bitterness. Light to medium body, astringent, and thin. The nose is pretty nice, which hypes up a beer which turns out thin, weak, and off. This is a shame...

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color, with a medium, foamy, beige head. The nose is wheat bread, grapefruit, oak, a bit of cocoa, with some strong tannins and sour cherry notes coming forward as it warms. Sweet and citrusy, with a heavy bitterness and a light sour, vinous touch. Heavy body, lightly acidic, syrupy, and astringent. This is a very creative and well made beer, and the barrels ratchet up the complexity considerably. Very aromatic and flavorful.

Sampled at the brewery. Dark reddish brown color, with a big, beige head and some good lacing. The nose is dominated by the citrusy and earthy hops, with a distinct cedar character that is most evident when held in the mouth. The finish has notes of resin and pine. Sweet and malty, with a strong bitterness that lingers. Heavy body, thick, acerbic, and chewy. This is a distinctive and wonderfully aromatic beer, and the cedar adds a very fun twist to a solid IPA base.

Short pour at the brewery. Slightly unclear copper color, with a small, beige head. The nose is hay, a bit of apple, cloves, and a mild hickory smokiness. Sweet and phenolic, with a touch of bitterness. Light body, creamy, a bit acidic, and a little sticky. This is a fun and easy smoked beer, with enough to pique my interest, without feeling like I’m drinking liquid bacon.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Unclear straw color, with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is cereals, definite chardonnay, underripe bananas, and tangerines. Sweet and citrusy, and lightly tart. Light to medium body, crisp and acidic. Overall, this is a fantastic, lightly sour, easy, and a truly unique beer. Very enjoyable!
