Sampled at Black Squirrel’s NKOTB event pours a clear, dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose has quite a bit of jalapeno, green bell pepper too, some light malt. Flavor has a bit more complexity, hits with the jalapeno right off the bat, but some muddled citrus too, lime, some herb. Dry, peppery finish.

On tap at Black Squirrel, listed as "Brewed Wit Basil", pours a hazy yellow with some creamy white head. Nose has a lot of basil, licorice, floral, straw. Flavor has light candy sweetness, fresh basil, basil seed drink, light pepper, honey. Chalky finish. Decent.

Nice roast. Dark chocolate and light caramel. Black pour with mocha head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Thick consistency. Nicely done stout. Draft at american taproom.

Bought a 6 pack, have had a few bottles since buying it. Can. Poured a dark yellow, light copper color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is pretty solid jalapeno fruit, some very mild heat, but not a lot - mostly just that bell pepper-style fruit character. Flavor was pretty malt forward, with only a bit of heat - not a spicy beer. Okay. Would drink again.

Kind of off style. Seems more like a brown ale than a Belgian. Pours dark brown with OK head and lacing. Light caramel and roast with mostly a sweet finish. Thick and slightly syrupy consistency. Tap at american taproom.

4 oz pour on draft at Brew’d Pub. Clear dark reddish brown with light tan head. Aromas of cocoa, chocolate, roast, coffee. Tastes of coffee, toasty notes, biscuit, cocoa, roast, licorice. Medium body with a dry finish.

[ As Jailbreak Made Wit Basil ].Clear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat, citrus - lemon, spicy, soapy, basil. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt - fruit, fruity, basil, spicy, herbs.
