Tap at Higgins anniversary, Apr 27. Cloudy orange grey. Herbal, grape, dust, earthy. Oily, smooth, sweet and light. Decent summer beer.

Preview edition at Higgins 2/6 anniversary, the final release will be in a few months. Darkest brown, low head. Intense peat aroma, singed wood. Medium full, mellow, chewy, nice dark chocolate, salt, peat, wood.

Tap at the source. Cloudy red amber, low golden cream. Bready, crackerlike malt, berry caramel, light earthy bitter hop base, grapefruit skin, fermented grassy notes. Rocky bitter finish.

Tap at the Brewpub in Munich, 14th March 24. Pours a dark golden and clear. Aroma is malty, caramel and citrus, resinous pine. Taste is full, malty, bitter, resin and caramel. Good stuff, advertised at 7.5 % rather than the 6.0 given here

Tap at Higgins Brewery tap, 14th March 24, finally stop on the bike hire crawl! Pours a murky brown. Aroma is raw and hoppy, citrus and pine, infused with cocoa. Taste is aromatic, bitter, citrus and pine, raw hops, I love it.
