Tap at the bar. Clear deep golden. Lime mint, something fruity, not too sure as someone is smoking. Front heavy, fizzy, cheesecake, slightly sticky. Not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Majestic head on dark golden beer. Fruity citrus nose with tropical goodness and a bit of sweet malt. Lots of hops in this, very sweet as well, that's a monster dessert IPA with huge and tasty hop bitterness. Very clean, I like it!

Bottle picked up at the brewery, drunk while waiting a long 2 wks for lacquer to cure. Mostly clear gold, decent head. Nice fat lager nose with rich hop notes. Light malty sweetness, very present mid-palate bitterness that lasts, complex barley undertones of freshly cut hay. Super fresh and very tasty, great traditional style beer from Higgins!

On tap at Higgins, first glass minutes after tapping. Medium brown, nice head, earthy and malty nose. Nutty flavor, fresh dark grains, moderate bitterness - nice!

Bottle picked up directly from Higgins and consumed Saturday 3rd January 2026 after a loop walk to Gasthof zum Sonnewald Schofweg. We had a Roast Chicken tonight it was fab'. We're listening to our albums of the year for 2025. Pours amber with great clarity with a slim white head. Dried fruits on the aroma, malty. Taste following a similar vein, light hoppiness, a little woodiness, fruity again, a touch harsh. Fine. Score 6.9

Drunk on tap at Higgins with marvelous trappings: sugar rim and orange slice. Huge head on hazy orange amber beer. Spicy citrus nose, really smooth flavor and creamy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Nice yeast ester flavor and mild spices, one of the best integrated Christmas beers I've had.
