Funky, dried apple nose. Dingy golden, headless. Tart lemon and green apple, vegetal with a pronounced spinach note. Fizzy, light body. Very sour, very infected.

Crisp golden coloured body with a hint of a peach glow and a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, pungent earth, a little sugar and some more bitterness and medicinal notes. Light-bodied; Fresh malt flavours at first with a hint of nuts and earth and very little else - thin and simple flavoured. Aftertaste shows hints of grass, hay, yeast and lemons with a lot of metallic and tangy notes that are a little offensive. Overall, a decent kolsch, but a bit too light and too funky flavoured for my liking, but not a horrible beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop (20th Street Location) in Arlington, Virginia on 22-July-2014 for US$11.99/six pack sampled at home a few blocks away from the shop on 05-August-2014.

Total Wine, Fairfax cans: Pours golden with white head. Aroma is light apple, some mild citrus, grass, bread. Taste is mostly for course. I suppose there are a little bit more hops in this than in a traditional rendition, but not by all that much. Apple notes in there of course. Not bad. Easy drinking.

A hop heavy IPA that drowns out the rest of the beer with the herbs. Pours amber with OK head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Thanks to drake.

4oz pour at the Northern Virginia BrewFest. Poured a nice clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was nice light citrus notes, some tropical notes, caramel and malt balanced out on this one. Flavor was light malt, relatively refreshing. Pretty tasty. Will look for this one in the future.

12oz can pours a clear, dark gold with some foamy white head and plenty of apparent carbonation. Nose is metallic at first, some cereal, some straw, a bit of honey, some dried lemon peel. Flavor has more cereal grains, a little parsnip, some straw, some lemon. Clean finish. Not bad.
