Tap: Literally deep golden, nearly clear, smaller persistent off-white head, moderate sweetish-malty to honeyish nose, mineralic spots and herbal hops in the background; moderate - as well - sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit tart; slightly lingering and slightly drier honeyish and herbal-bitter finish. O.K.! Surely better lagered than the 2018 vintage...

Tap: Hazy, light amber coloured, small off-white head, distinctive dryish nose of resiny hops, some toasted malt underneath, some hardly detectable worty traces, nearly moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, astonishingly “full bodied” for a beer of 2.5%; lingering resiny-bitter finish balanced by a shy malty sweetness. 0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before July 2019. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit roasty aroma of caramel, nuts and some licorice. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly bitter, a bit roasty taste of caramel, toasted nuts, some chocolate and a touch of coffee, followed by a short, moderately bitter a bit roasty finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Schwarzbier, fairly quaffable.

0.33 l bottle from 'Rudat', best before July 2019. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately grassy and a little floral aroma of grains, some straw and traces of vanilla. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, a bit malty, gently grassy and a little floral taste of grains, some straw and a touch of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and a little musty finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Export, nothing spectacular and just as boring as the style.
