Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours tiny hazy golden with a rather small frothy white head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty and slightly floral with sourdough bread, hay, dried yellow flowers, minerals and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter, very tiny sour, tiny malty and slight floral. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, tiny astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with wholegrain crackers, cereal, hay, minerals, iron, paper and lemon peal. Bit too dry in my opinion. Gets a bit papery. Decent beer still though.

Tap at the brewery. Lovely, clear gold with a pillowy head. Very biscuit malt nose, maybe a touch of diacetyl, some caramel.. Sweet and malty, very grassy and herbal, a bit metallic. Good body. Ok, not great.

Klares dunkel goldgelbes Pils mit einer ordentlichen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht hopfig, würzig, malzig, gering metallisch. Geschmack sehr metallisch hopfig, würzig, unangenehm bitter, naja!

Rated as Brauns Achhörnla. Schöne kastanienbraune Farbe, malzig-trockener Geruch. Der Antrunk ist angenehm vollmundig-trocken-malzig. Ganz leicht süßlich. Zum Hauptteil kommt eine süßlich-gherbe Note hinzu, sie sich aber doch in Hintergrund hält und zum Nachgeschmack hin den herberen Part hervorbringt. Eine Herb-malzige Note verbleibt im Mund, die Süße ist fast ganz verschwunden. Schöne herb-trockene Note, Dunkles Laub, ganz leicht säuerlich.
