Clear dark golden beer with a white head. Aroma of sweetish grainy malt, honey, straw. Taste of mild sweet grainy malt, straw, honey. Mild bitterness.

Wiethaler Jubiläums-Kellerbier 1498er, Flasche (MHD: 30.12.23) per Post vom Landbierparadies. - Ein Kellerbier in Märzenstärke - das klingt verlockend! - Dunkles Goldbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase breites toastig-nussiges Malz mit fetter Karamelsüße, reichlich Butter, überreife Aprikose und schöne aber etwas blasse hopfenwürzig-orangenschalige Hopfung. - Antrunk mächtig toastmalzig mit fetter Karamelsüße, Aprikose, leicht muffiger Malzbittere und dezenter orangenfruchtiger Herbe, die gegen die fette Malzsüße nicht ankommt. Mild rezent, fast ein wenig schal; mastig. Im Abgang unfrische Hopfenbittere mit kandierter Orangenschale. - Trotz fernen MHDs wirkt dieses Märzenbier arg unfrisch, zu süß und zu sparsam gehopft. Light cream-tan head, medium sized, over clear amber-chestnut coloured beer. Wood, bit of smoke, sweeter chocolate, chocolatecake or -cookies, bread, dark malts' galore. Sweet, bready, coloured malts, chocolate, dark leaves. Sweetness gradually evens out, leaving more leafy, almost herbal flavours. Medium bodied, quite slick; medium carbonation. Very classical dark Bock. Txs to Stef!
