Draft. A- Coffee, chocolate, roasty. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, mocha. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Very lovely. Straightforward with strong notes of black coffee and slightly sweet chocolate. About as good as a coffee stout is going to get. Wish this was canned and readily available.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A black beer, no head. Aroma of intense roasted dark strong malt, chocolate, melasse, toffee, bourbon. Taste of sweet strong dark moderate roasted bitter malt, coffee, vanilla, cookies, toffee, sugar, some wood. Wonderfull and delicious!

Can. A- Whisky, booze, cinnamon, chilies, vanilla, apple brandy. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Apple brandy, heavy cinnamon, vanilla, mild chilies, complex. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Big ass beer for sure. Sat on this can for some time, almost a year and it's still really full of flavor. Bourbon, Brandy, Vanilla, Chilies, Cinnamon, and Chocolate? Sounds like a winning combo to me. All balances well. A bit boozy but doesn't taste cheap. The cinnamon is pretty heavy and the chilies provide more aroma than flavor thankfully. The chocolate and vanilla is more subdued but still lingers in the back. Nicely done. I imagine fresh is a delight too.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing this can! Fantastic great intense nose. The beer starts extremely deep and aromatic. Coconuts, chocolate, roasted espresso. Very deep and rich, burned caramel, lots of molasses, coconuts. The wood is there in parts, more molasses, very deep, complex and intense. Fascinating!

Can looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass dark black, almost no head. Wonder, wonderful malty chocolate and coffee aroma. Fine sweetish. Starts very strong, malty, roasty, wonderful velvety notes of chocolate, coffee. Bitter background, not too intense. Finish again strong and light alcoholic, warming roasty malty finish. Wonderful chocolate aftertaste. Wow!

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours a very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, blueberry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/sticky, fairly crisp, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.3%. Overall this is an excellent session IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Feels very much like an NEIPA. Spot on Mosaic profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering, and great session style example. One of the better SIPAs I've had.

Can. A- Smoke, maple, sharpie, cream. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Ash, smoke, roasty, dry, bitter, subtle maple, sharpie, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- I decided to open this in the heat of summer as I expected a sweeter stout given the name and ingredients. Not so. This is a big complex beer that could help you power through any tattoo resembling the can artwork. Very little sweetness. Some maple, more on the nose, the pecans seem to add a bit of dry roastiness to the whole thing. Loads of ash and charred wood. Liked this a whole lot but just fell short of me loving it.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very rich, super deep dark brown colour as well - quite opaque, perhaps around 90% with an oily layer on top when most of the head has faded, but a very ugly lace on the side of the glass of said head. Aroma of tons of roasted malt, star anise, coffee, chocolate (deep, ~80% cacao), vanilla, peat, light smoke and a dose of heavier wood and astringent notes come through, but the vanilla and anise are strong and the coffee is the strongest. Full-bodied; Super rich and dense malt flavours with raisins, figs and pure caramel very noticeable, along with some pungent nutty and earthy flavours with a lot of anise around, but the vanilla and lactose flavours are sublime and very dense, with the strongest notes from the alcohol, the chocolate and yes, the coffee - pungent throughout and the alcohol is quite noticeable. Aftertaste shows the coffee, vanilla, lactose, oak, peated malts and some chocolate sweetness towards the end, but this is heavy, dense and a touch cloying towards the end. Overall, a very nice Imperial Stout that could probably use some good aging, but wasn't available for me to do (crowler), and was nice to sample fresh, even in the midst of summer. Good to sample, and well worth trying to find, especially if you like the style and if you like coffee, as well, since that is the strongest flavour throughout. I sampled this thirty-two ounce fill (into a crowler) from draught at BrewTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 27-June-2018 for US$12 (listed as 11,0% abv) sampled at home in Washington, halfway across this fine country on 09-July-2018.
