Can from Tavour. Pours hazy gold with a slight transient white head. Aroma of guava, citrus and green melon. Med body. Juicy but not very sweet. Moderately bitter. Strong flavor. Guava, passion fruit, citrus, green melon and more. Very nice flavor.

500mL bottle, pours black with a tiny head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malt, a touch of coconut, and some dark sugars. Flavour is moderately sweet, with bold coffee, deep roast, moderate coconut, and dark sugars. A bit brutal but has a deep coffee character that lingers forever. Very good.

Dark brown. No head. Dark chocolate, light vanilla or coconut. Thick body. The adjuncts aren't super strong here, but the base is decent. It does feel like it could use some barrel aging.

Draft. Black beer with a very low dark cream head. Vanilla and brown sugar aroma with chocolate. Bourbon and dark fruit flavor with caramel. Fuller bodied. Bourbon and raspberries linger with vanilla and caramel.

Can from Tavour. Pours hazy grapefruit gold with a large foamy white head that persisted. Aroma is very tropical - yet earth/garlic/onion stands out. Med body. Juicy and mildly sweet. Enough bitter to barely balance the malt. Flavor is onion, pineapple, and pale fruit. Maybe some green melon. Seems to get dryer with time. Flavor is not super strong, but it is quite firm. Also delicious.

On tap at Pure Project - Carlsbad, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of complex vanilla beans, big bourbon barrel complexity, and nicely fermented out dark sugars. Flavour is extremely rich, with huge bourbon barrels dominating this, accentuating beautifully by high-quality vanilla beans, and dark sugars. Rich, complex, decadent, smooth palate. Beauty.

On tap at Pure Project - Miramar, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma exudes huge coconut upfront, accentuated by huge bourbon barrels, dark sugars, and molasses. Flavour is remarkably rich, complex and decadent, with huge coconut, dark chocolate, dark sugars, and big bourbon barrels. Massive coconut and bourbon with endless depth and complexity. Absolutely sublime.
