Pours a hazy gold from a can. Big citrus (orange and grapefruit) aroma and flavor. Very sweet and juicy. A little too effervescent. Pretty good beer.

Can at home. Hazy yellow color, full sized white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor is malts, pleasantly hoppy, ripe fruity hop notes, only softly bitter notes. Decent body and carbonation.

Can (unintelligible date) pour. It's a cloudy dark yellow with no discernible sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with fair retention and decent soapy lacing. Aroma is interesting mix of pineapple, orange, cream, melon, vague rubber. Taste is beyond overripe pineapple--almost like its rotted--which dominates anything else that might be here. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, there are some elements to this hop that are intriguing but some others that need to be bred out or covered up. Won't blame the brewer for this one but rather the hop.

Can (11/25/20, says nothing about DDH) pour from the brewery. Appearance is cloudy dark yellow with orange tinge with nice sparkle, finger-plus white foamy head with good retention and decent soapy lacing. Aroma is strong lemon and orange citrus with pineapple and hay. Taste is strong pineapple, citrus, with more subtle melon and background German hops and wheat. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and crisp, fairly dry finish with lingering light bitterness and yeast. Overall, hits on all cylinders. Especially impressive since this is near the end of peak freshness!

Can (11/21/20) pour from the brewery. An opaque dark yellow with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and nice rings of lacing. Smells like tangerine, grapefruit and grapes. Taste is strong tropical fruit, tangerine, white wine, berry and yeast. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and dry finish as taste with lingering bitterness and yeast. Overall, really strong, juicy flavor making the most of Nelson.
