Bottle. Pours a clear gold with short-lived white head. Aromas are kind of blah... A bit of honey, some bread dough and a little light fruit. Flavor is similarly uninspiring, with a pretty substantial bread and honey malt presence and a little bit of grass and pear in the finish.

Bottle... and I might add it is a lovely clear bottle (minus one to appearance for this sin). Woo hoo! Pour is no surprise... it is like I could see it coming. a nice tarnished penny color with a pretty big but ephemeral head. Aromas are malty, with hints of earth and nuts. Flavor is a washed out sweetness with little other direction... maple syrup, nuts, toffee/caramel. Not very interesting... but still pleasant enough.

Here’s an interesting style. 12oz bottle. Sweet, malty aroma, not much too it. Deep amber-brown color with a nice off white head. Smooth and creamy, with a slightly sour Rye edge to it. Fruity in some respects, lots of mellow malt character. Easy drinking, relatively true to style, this is a pretty cool offering.

12oz bottle labeled as Schell’s Stout. Opaque black with a small beige head. Sweet malty aroma, some roast. Oddly lactic smooth, with a creamy milky body. Rather easy drinker, nitro feel to it. Lacks and real body or depth, though it certainly manages to be unoffensive tastewise. Odd Milk Stout as far as I’m concerned.

Lots of yeast in this beer. I also taste rye. A little sour, and surprisingly, the yeast of a weizen beer. Good, like most years of Snowstorm.

12oz bottle. Clean filtered yellow-orange. Impressive inch of foamy head. The aroma is pretty true to style, with yeasty creaminess and spicy hops. The taste is a little underwhelming, not as crisp as I had hoped for. Comes off more like a Kellerbier. Very much yeast dominates, albeit apparently filtered. Drinkable and enjoyable, but not world class.

12oz bottle. Filtered tan-orange color. Nice foamy head, lots of lively carbonation bubbles. Sweet hoppy aroma, with a touch of macro factory freshness. The hop flavor is rather intense, a pleasant surprise. Thick and resinous, definitely walking the line between an APA and IPA. Earthy and rich. Solid bitterness. Underrated.

courtesy of retorp. Pours deep black beige head. Aroma, roasted malts, thin chocolate. Taste, nutty, some milk-chcocolate, burnt malts, with light bitter finish, some toffee/caramel like palate. Taste.

12oz in a clear bottle. Filtered brown-amber color. Fluffy head. The aroma isn’t so attractive, sugary and macro. Drinkable, sort of a half-ass Newcastle. Malty, nutty, some caramel. Lacks the richness of most German Dunkels. Not horrible, bur certainly below par.

Bottle. Pours a gold with just a slight haze to it and a thinnish sudsy head. Aromas are pleasant enough: grass and lemon with biscuit. Flavor is fairly decent, but maybe has a bit too much malt and not quite enough zest from hops for my taste. Doesn’t quite come off as crisp enough for me. Still, it’s pretty decent for a pils.
