Description
We started brewing in 2011, in a small barn in the Cheshire countryside, with a simple goal of presenting our locality with delicious beer.

โ€‹A lot has changed since then; we now brew an ever evolving variety of progressive cask beer alongside modern, vibrant beers in can & keg, we now ship our beer further afield, even to different countries, but our loyal audience in the North West keeps us busier than ever and as such we've grown our brewing capacity over time from 100 thousand to 2 million pints per year.

But more than a decade on we are still an independent brewer-owned brewery, passionately crafting beers from our inspiring & beautiful location. Driven by the same energy we have always had, to bring you an ever changing array of bold, vibrant & delicious beer.

A strange tasting stout. There are tart notes to it but also liquorice, bitter roasted malts and a touch of fresh green hop. Overall itโ€™s out of sync with itself.

Cask at the Stafford Arms, Bagnall. A glossy black pour with a thick white head; aroma of well roasted grains; deeply bitter taste, both from the hops and the roast; and a smooth dry finish with lingering hops.

Cask @ City Arms, Manchester. Golden-amber with a small head. Has a decent fusion of malts and fruits in both its nose and taste.

Cask @ Microbar, Manchester. Malty aroma, but not a very stated one, with a few more hops available in its taste. Thereโ€™s an extremely light fruitiness here. Has a good session texture.

Cask conditioned at Minehead Beer Festival 13/9/2014. Amber with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweet, heavy, cereal malts, a hint of pastiness and syrupy finish. A sink or, to be more accurate, off the end of the train station platform pour.
